The 2025 World Championship will be contested by teams from around the world, including Australia, the UK and Europe, on the iconic Sydney Harbour - the home of the International B14 Skiff.
The Australian National Titles will be held on the 1st to 4th January 2025 followed by the World Championships from the 6th to 10th January.
The regatta will be shared by the Musto Skiff class.
Racing will be held against the backdrop of Sydney Harbour.
The race area will be on the main harbour, launching from Woollahra Sailing Club.

The Venue.
The 2025 World Championships will be held at Woollahra Sailing Club (“WSC”). Located in the heart of Rose Bay, WSC is home to some of Sydney’s top sailing talent, having played a pivotal role in the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

We’re planning lots of fun social events, ranging from the usual Welcome and Presentation functions, to drinks on the veranda after sailing thanks to The Friends of the Fridge, and sporty/silly events (can’t wait for the now traditional Bugger the Bone event we always put on at Aussie Nats!). And as we are sharing the regatta with the Musto Skiffs, we will have even more playmates/drinking buddies! Yay!

Sydney Harbour is a great place to sail and contrary to popular belief it’s easy to avoid the ferries and the occasional cruise ship. Woollahra Sailing Club (WSC) is a great venue and has been vastly improved by widening of the launch ramp. And of course there are lots of interesting things to do in and around Sydney. The only drawback to summer in Sydney is traffic and mediocre public transport. On the positive side, most Sydney-siders are on holidays for 2 or 3 weeks after Christmas which means that the roads will be less busy.
Visitors to Sydney can pay for trains, light rail, buses and ferries with the Public Transport Opal card or with a contactless credit/debit card. Card readers are located on ferry wharves and gates, train stations and on buses. Simply tap on at the start of the journey and tap off at the end of the journey. You'll never pay more than the Daily or Weekly travel caps, no matter how much you travel.
The Opal card can be purchased at the airport and at most newsagencies. The card can be topped up in $10 increments when registered online.
Mastercard, Visa or American Express debit/credit cards or a linked device can be used to tap on and off. Note: If you use a credit card that was issued overseas, your card issuer may charge you a foreign transaction fee. Modes of transport (see Eastern Suburbs transport map):
1. Car: Plenty of car rental in Sydney ranging from international brands such as Avis and Europcar to local operators. Rates start at about AUD$70 per day for a small car. There is a public carpark adjacent to WSC and additional parking in sur-rounding side-streets. Be careful of parking restrictions - signs can be complicated and the fines are high. Parking near your accommodation can be a problem—some hotels provide paid or free parking, some do not. Street parking is particularly difficult around Bondi Beach and Kings Cross. New South Head Rd is the main thoroughfare between the city and WSC. Driving to WSC from the city takes about 20 minutes and about 10 minutes from Bondi.
2. Bus: Routes 324 and 325 from the city and route 323 from Edgecliff Station follow New South Head Rd and pass close-by to WSC. From Bondi Junction take route 386 to corner Dover St and New South Head Rd, then 5 minute walk to WSC. From Bondi Beach (north) take route 323 to corner Dover St and New South Head Rd, then 5 minute walk to WSC.
3. Train: Eastern Suburbs rail line connects to the rest of the network at Town Hall, then stops at Martin Place, Kings Cross, Edgecliff and Bondi Junction; bus route 386 from Bondi Junction to WSC.
4. Ferry: Service F9 runs frequently between Circular Quay and Rose Bay wharf (100 metres from WSC), then on to Wat-sons Bay wharf. Services from Manly, western suburbs and North Shore all terminate at Circular Quay.
5. Bicycle: Easy cycling around Eastern Suburbs particularly between Bondi Beach and WSC, however not much in the way of cycle paths.
